Early Response to CAPVA

CAPVA Training

Why is it important?

Many parents and young people find that a lack of understanding from professionals is a barrier to accessing the right specialist support. We also know that many parents do not ask for help and support with CAPVA until they have reached crisis point. Respect Young People’s Service want to raise awareness of CAPVA so that we can support families before abusive and harmful behaviours become embedded. Early, effective responses from professionals can increase safety and improve outcomes for children and parents.

How can I access the resources?

The multi-agency CAPVA awareness training and e-learning can be accessed through the Respect training page (insert link).

The Early Response to CAPVA resource packs can be bought if your service or local authority is already delivering RYPP. The package includes a 1 day training which can be delivered online or face to face. If you are interested please contact RYPS below.
